BINUS UNIVERSITY’s New Photo Booth Encourages SDGs Awareness
Jakarta, 4 June – BINUS University, in a significant step towards advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has inaugurated the UN SDGs photo booth. This booth, located at the Titanic area of our Anggrek campus, stands as a testament to our commitment to sustainability and education.
Our Rector, Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., CSCA inaugurated the photo booth alongside Prof. Dr. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Collaboration & Global Engagement, Dr. Reina Setiawan, S.Kom., M.M., Campus Director of BINUS University @ Kemanggisan, and Yuliana Lisanti, President’s Office Senior Manager, along with other Binusian leaders.
“Our hope is that every Binusian who sees this will not only become more familiar with the SDGs but also be inspired to take impactful actions,” said Dr. Nelly.
Binus University students, staff, and faculty members (Binusian) can actively engage with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #BINUSSDG while tagging the Instagram account @sdg.binus.
This initiative is part of the UN SDGs Open Pedagogy Summit, which will take place on June 4-5, 2024, at the Anggrek Campus. Faculty members and BINUSIANS interested in learning about open pedagogy practices will gain valuable insights from experts at Montgomery College in Maryland, USA.
“It’s not just about taking photos at the booth; it’s also about informing friends about the various ways we can collectively support the SDGs,” added Prof. Dr. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama during the inauguration.
Lastly, this initiative underscores BINUS University’s commitment to inspiring positive change and fostering a culture of global responsibility among its students, staff, and faculty members. We all hope that the photo booth not only serves as a powerful reinforcement of our commitment to sustainability and education.
