Building Bridges, Fostering Innovation
Jakarta, 1 March 2024 – A recent visit to Indonesia by Heads of German Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS), co-organized with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), highlighted our commitment in sparking innovation and collaborations alongside with us in fostering and empowering the society in building the nation.
The visit for Heads of German Universities of Applied Sciences to Indonesia that we organized together with German Academic Exchange Service showcased in our commitment to innovation as well forging stronger collaboration that will be alongside in fostering and empowering the society in building the nation.
Over 18 Indonesian universities and representatives from nearly 20 German universities engaged in fruitful discussions, exploring potential collaborations through joint projects, research initiatives, and mobility programs. The possibilities for collaborative endeavours are truly boundless!
BINUS University, as part of the delegation, actively showcased its internationalization efforts in providing its student with a global outlook as part of an effort to enrich their study.
“I am hopeful that this summit will not only strengthen our collaboration but also generate positive impacts on promoting educational sector growth and enhancing the quality of human resources in both nations,” said Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., Rector of BINUS University, during her opening remarks.
Germany and neighbouring European countries offer exciting opportunities for the BINUSIAN community. Existing projects and future innovative activities will not only foster personal development but also deepen cultural understanding, preparing students for an increasingly interconnected world.
“The DAAD provides valuable information for those interested in studying in Germany,” stated Dr. Guido Scheniders, Director of the DAAD Regional Office Jakarta.
Faculty leaders from BINUS University also participated in this important event, promoting the university’s best offerings, and establishing connections with German institutions through exciting and innovative projects.
This visit lays the foundation for a stronger collaboration between BINUS University and German Universities, serving as a gateway to Europe and beyond. We extend our sincerest gratitude to the Rectors and leaders of the esteemed Indonesian universities who participated in this significant milestone including all the Head of Internationalization & Partnership Program (HIPP) who attended such as Dr. Respati Wulandari, S.H., M.M.. for BINUS Business School and Dr. R.A.
