BINUS UNIVERSITY Attains Global Ranking of 1201-1500 in THE World University Rankings

Jakarta, 29 September 2023 – BINUS University proudly secured its position in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WUR) 2024 with a global position between 1,201 – 1,500, therefore standing as the fourth best university in Indonesia.

THE’s World University Rankings have grown significantly since inception, now including nearly 2,000 institutions in 108 countries. This expansion solidifies THE rankings as the most comprehensive and globally inclusive assessment of higher education institutions.

In response to this acknowledgment, Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., CSCA, the Rector, expressed, “We are very grateful for the trust given by Times Higher Education. This recognition is an appreciation of BINUS University’s efforts in providing education in accordance with the quality standards, excellence, and assessment set by Times Higher Education,” she stated.

A notable aspect of BINUS University’s success lies in its collaboration and global engagement efforts with over 240 universities and 5,000 companies. The recognition in the Times Higher Education rankings is not only a celebration of academic excellence but also a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering international connections. This engagement is aimed at preparing students to navigate and excel in a world that is continually changing and presenting new challenges.

Out of five assessment areas, BINUS University obtained the highest weightage in the Research Quality category as the second-best higher education in Indonesia ranked in this category.
