International Student Competition in Food Waste Management

BINUS University, in collaboration with other seven partner institutions in the IN2FOOD Project, an Erasmus+ CBHE (Capacity Building in Higher Education) project, is inviting BINUS students to participate in the International Student Competition from August 6 to 19, 2023, in Tangerang and Bandung. Participants will be divided into groups of Indonesian and European students.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE*

August 6 Program starts
August 7–10
Opening ceremony, guest speakers, coaching workshops, cultural activity
Venue: Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, BSD City, Tangerang
August 11–15
Workshop and visit to case hotels, international conference, cultural trip
Venue: BINUS University @Bandung, Bandung
August 16–17
Guest lectures and workshops
Venue: Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, Tangerang
August 18
International student competition and closing ceremony
Venue: Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, BSD City, Tangerang

PROGRAM FEE

Scholarships available for 6 selected BINUS students.
The scholarship covers:

  • Partial meals (lunches and coffee break)
  • Accommodation in Bandung
  • Program kit (name tag, lanyard, goodie bag)
  • Cultural activities

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be an active BINUS student from any majors
  • Has good command of the English language
  • Be highly motivated and open-minded
  • Has sufficient knowledge of design-thinking
  • Has interest in food waste management

HOW TO APPLY

– a 1-page résumé
– a creative video of personal introduction, reflection on food waste, your initial idea(s) about how to fight food waste in hospitality industry, and motivation to participate in the program (total max. 3 minutes)
– copy of academic transcript (academic report downloaded from BINUSMaya is acceptable)
