Pursuing Competitive Academic Culture in Seoul National University
BINUS Korea Corner hosted a sharing session on “Pursuing Competitive Academic Culture in Seoul National University” on Wednesday, October 13th.
The session was attended by around 250 participants and hosted a presentation of Mochammad Alvin Dwiana Qobulsyah, a postgraduate student at Seoul National University.
During the session, Alvin talked about the reason he chose SNU, the application and scholarship processes he had to go through, and what life as an Indonesian student there was like. He also shared some insightful tips and advice for the participants on applying for a master degree in the University.
He emphasized that SNU is an academic-heavy university with an intensely competitive atmosphere.
“The thing that you really want to look for is the competitive academic atmosphere. Because it’s really really competitive here… So, if you want to challenge yourself in the academic sphere, this is a very suitable campus for you” Kang Alvin shared.
The webinar concluded with a Question & Answer session in which participants asked the speaker more about classes at SNU, the academic culture, and his experiences as an international student there.
