BINUS Student Featured as The Youngest Entrepreneur in Forbes Asia List
Yasa Paramita Singgih (20), a student of Marketing Communication program of BINUS UNIVERSITY, is the youngest entrepreneur featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 2016 Asia list in the retail and e-commerce category. In 2011, he created Men’s Republic, a fashion brand for young urban men, selling shoes, underclothes and apparel via an online store platform. Within a few years, he successfully won over customers not only in Indonesia, but also in other regions including Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Philippines.
Singgih, often invited by many institutions as a guest speaker, also wrote a book Never Too Young to Become a Billionaire where he shares his strategy and business values. He did not grow up in an entrepreneurial family. His journey starts at age 15 when he had no guarantee of success while he worked as a part-timer. He has failed before and even faced bankruptcy. However, perseverance and never-give-up attitude showed that success comes in all ages and knows no boundaries.
