UMG College Signed Memorandum of Understanding with BINUS UNIVERSITY
The late afternoon of 5th December 2013 signifies the start of collaboration between BINUS and UMG College, Myanmar. On the visit of UMG College Rector, Mr. Thein Htay and the Dean of Faculty of Information Technology, Ms. Sa Bai, both institutions agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to start the collaboration. This decision comes forth after a long 3-day marathon discussion between UMG and BINUS, led by our Corporate Strategic Management unit. The MoU is signed by U Thein Htay, rector of UMG College and Ms. Lily Manoharan, Director of BINUS Global.
UMG College is a private college in Myanmar under the banner of UMG Conglomerate Group. Currently they have a Faculty of Engineering which run a diploma program, in cooperation with Edexcel Pearson from UK. They are opening a new program of Computer Science and Mobile Technology, with BINUS in support of the preparation. This new program will be a start for further projects, including the possibility of internship at UMG companies and even the opening of Double Degree projects between the two institutions.
