From 21st-23rd November 2018, BINUS UNIVERSITY attended the QS-Apple Conference and Exhibition in Seoul, South Korea. Organized by QS Asia — the regional subsidiary of London-based QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the publishers of the well-renowned QS World University Rankings — the organization regularly organizes conferences, exhibitions, and specialist seminars for higher education institutions throughout Asia. This year’s event featured some 475 academics from 209 institutions in 40 countries and focused on the theme, ‘Future Universities in the Asia-Pacific: The Changing Face of Higher Education’, which discussed how higher education institutions in the region can become major solution providers to many global issues such as global warming, industrial development, and renewable energy.
In conjunction with the event, QS Asia also organized the QS-Apple Creative Awards to recognize the importance of utilizing creative and compelling designs as tools for effective communication and building brand awareness. At the ceremony, BINUS UNIVERSITY won the ‘Gold Award’ in the Most Creative Corporate Institution Video category. The university was judged on several key criteria which included having an original concept and a strong story narrative in addition to having seamless editing and scene transitions.
Through this participation, BINUS UNIVERSITY showcased its capacity to make a compelling video that highlighted its forward-thinking vision for higher education in Indonesia.
