From 3rd – 6th October 2018, BINUS UNIVERSITY officially opened its campus in the city of Bekasi. The campus was designed to cater to the growing demand for higher education in one of Jakarta’s major satellite cities and will provide greater convenience to local students who do not have to experience the capital’s infamous gridlock to receive a first-class education. As with all its campuses, students are offered a comprehensive array of majors such as Business Hotel Management, Business Management, Business Information Technology, and Accounting, among many others.
The event was also accompanied by the launch of the Biztech Festival which provided information on the curricula at the new campus in addition to the facilities made available. Furthermore, the festival offered a variety of activities from seminars to workshops to talk shows, as well as a sharing session with the university’s alumni — other activities included a business plan competition and a short movie competition. Through this event, BINUS UNIVERSITY was able to demonstrate to visitors its innovative approach to higher education and how it can nurture and develop the entrepreneurial spirit of its students so they can ultimately succeed in the upper-echelons of Indonesian and international companies.
BINUS UNIVERSITY’s Bekasi campus is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to create vibrant academic communities across Indonesia. With already more than 30,000 students and 1,500 highly-qualified educators, the institution thus stands at the forefront in producing graduates that can contribute to Indonesia’s mission to create a sustainable workforce.
