BINUS Hosts Passage to ASEAN Annual Meeting 2016

In February 2016, BINUS was honored with the trust to host the 5th annual meeting of Passage to ASEAN (P2A), a non-profit network founded during the First Assembly of Representatives in 2012 attended by several prominent Southeast Asian institutions and hosted by Rangsit University in Thailand. The mission of the program is to promote ASEAN identity and equip competent students, staff and faculty with the intercultural understanding and competencies to participate in and contribute to ASEAN community.

The annual meeting was held February 23-25, 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia, specifically on BINUS UNIVERSITY campus and in BINUS SQUARE – Hall of Residence. 42 delegates from 19 higher education institutions and 32 students from 11 universities attended the meeting. During the three days, not only did the universities’ leaders and officers join the forum of discussion showcasing their institutions, but also the students participated in the seminars, intercultural workshops and Jakarta city tour.
