Erasmus+ Mobility Grants with Alianza 4 Universidades (A4U), Spain
Alliance 4 Universities (A4U) secures Erasmus+ funding for academic mobility with Indonesian universities. The current project year offers two mobility opportunities: one for a PhD staff and one for a teaching or non-teaching staff.
These mobility programs facilitate academic exchanges between the four member universities of A4U—Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona—and seven universities in Indonesia: Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Telkom University, BINUS University, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Indonesia, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
Thanks to Erasmus+ funding, PhD students and teaching or administrative staff from all subject areas are eligible to apply, depending on their alignment with the available programs at the host university in Spain. The program provides a fixed financial support package from Erasmus+ to cover living expenses and travel allowances. The mobility durationis 2 to 5 months for PhD students and 7 days for staff.
These mobility programs offer numerous benefits, including improved language and intercultural skills, increased confidence, and valuable international experience. PhD students gain career advantages, while staff members benefit from best-practice exchanges and exposure to different educational systems. To promote diversity and inclusion, A4U encourages applications from all backgrounds, including disadvantaged groups, and even provides a special grant for one participant with special needs or disabilities.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding of the application procedures, prospective applicants are advised to thoroughly review all application requirements and guidelines, which are available on the following program’s website:
2. Select your host university
In selecting a host university for an exchange program, the applicants should carefully align their academic and personal objectives with the chosen institution.
