USAID HEPI Workshop Provides Avenue for Indonesian Universities to Improve STEM Education
Jakarta, 13 July 2023 – The New Affiliate Workshop, held by USAID Higher Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI), provides an avenue to engage in several activities to improve the teaching and learning process. These activities include partnering with industry, promoting faculty development, leveraging mentorship, and advancing academic readiness for students.
Our BINUS Global Director, Dr. Diah Wihardini, spoke at a panel and discussed the important role our university and other partners play in ensuring our partnership is fruitful. She also shared about Launchpad hub, where students can access a variety of courses and materials to enrich their study abroad experience.
The workshop was a valuable opportunity for Indonesian universities to learn about the HEPI project and its goals. It provided a forum for networking and sharing best practices, and it helped to lay the foundation for future collaboration between Indonesian and American universities.
Key Takeaways from the Workshop:
- The HEPI project is designed to improve science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education in Indonesia.
- Affiliate universities will have the opportunity to partner with industry, improve their teaching and learning pedagogy, and promote faculty development.
