Cultivating Student’s Entrepreneurship Spirit Through Venture Builder Day

Jakarta, 25 October 2022 – We always look for innovative ways to enrich students’ experience while studying at BINUS University.

The Venture Builder program allows our students to explore out-of-the-box business ideas to realize their vision by collaborating with the Singapore University of Social Science (SUSS). Students will gain a different perspective to ensure that the output can have a unique selling point by incorporating a multi-dimensional perspective beyond the market preference and the cultural elements.

Students who chose the enrichment track – entrepreneurship – had the chance to work with a business coach. For example, the team at Playnium identified the difficulties for parents in providing high-quality, value-driven, and interactive entertainment content for their kids. They shared that the internet is a potential threat for kids who lack understanding about navigating the net. The proposed idea will ensure that the online platform – Playnium- understands parents’ needs and produces content that will not excite the little bambino. Expertise from their coach was a valuable source during the program to ensure that they had constructive feedback.

The Demo Day in October is a culmination for students at the end of the program back in July, where they had the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges. Gaining feedback from them is essential to help the team refine the ideas.

The program is part of the university’s commitment to ensure that students will not only enjoy on-campus learning experiences but experiential learning.
