Global Korean Scholarship (GKS) for Non-Degree Exchange Program
ABOUT GKS NON-DEGREE
The Global Korean Scholarship (GKS) for Non-Degree Exchange Program is a fully funded scholarship provided by the Korean government via the National Institute for International Education (NIIED). It supports international students from partner universities, like BINUS University, who wish to study in South Korea for a short-term or semester-based exchange. This program is not degree-seeking, but aims to deepen academic exchange and foster cultural understanding.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
- Credit Recognition. BINUS University supports students in this program by recognizing credits earned at Korean universities during their study abroad period.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be an active BINUS student
- Must NOT hold South Korean citizenship, and both parents must be non-Korean citizens
- Have never received scholarship from the Korean Government
- Apply to Korean university that listed in the https://linktr.ee/binusstudyabroad, part 04A and affiliated with NIIED
- Meet academic and language requirements set by BINUS and the host institution
- Demonstrate strong motivation and intercultural readiness
- Fulfill all application requirements set by BINUS University and the host Korean university, NIIED, including language proficiency or course registration
* BUEPT, BIEPT, BeeLingua, other certificates or expired scores are not accepted

Additional Information:
- Await confirmation of funding availability from the Korean government and offered by the Korean partner institution
- The student must be officially nominated as the GKS candidate by BINUS Internationalization Office
- The scholarships cannot be deferred or renewed
- In case of rejection, students may proceed with their study abroad program without the scholarship (term and condition applied)
