Asia International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Program

AIMS Scholarship Opportunity
Funding Support for BINUS Students Studying Abroad

ABOUT AIMS

The Asia International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Program is a regional student mobility initiative coordinated by SEAMEO RIHED. The program aims to enhance university students’ international exposure, intercultural understanding, and academic development across Asia through structured semester-long exchange programs.

AIMS began as the Malaysia–Indonesia–Thailand (M–I–T) Student Mobility Program, focusing on promoting internationalization among Higher Education Institutions in the three founding countries. BINUS University is proud to have been an early participant in this initiative under the study areas of Hospitality & Tourism and International Business.

In 2012, the program expanded across the ASEAN region and became the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS). Today, AIMS has grown even further to include several East Asian partner countries, evolving into the Asia International Mobility for Students Program.

SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW

Through the AIMS Program, BINUS students have the opportunity to receive funding support from:

  • The Government of Indonesia, and/or
  • Host country governments participating in the AIMS Network

Important Note on Indonesian AIMS Funding

The Indonesian government is currently prioritizing several national agendas, which has resulted in limited financing for AIMS scholarships at this time. As such, Indonesia’s financial support may not always match the funding levels provided by partner governments.

We believe it is essential to align expectations early so that students can make informed decisions during their application process.
