P2A On-Campus Program: Imagine Indonesia

BINUS University is pleased to present the Passage to ASEAN (P2A) On-Campus Program 2026: Imagine Indonesia, inviting students from Southeast Asia to participate in a short-term mobility program that offers a global learning experience across BINUS campuses on the Java and Sumatra Islands with immersive exposure to Indonesia’s rich cultures, creative spirit, and vibrant local communities. 

Taking place across four cities—MalangBandungSemarang, and Medan—the program is designed to showcase diverse local contexts and learning themes. Each program runs for 5 days and 4 nights, with tailored schedules and activities that highlight the character of each destination. Through academic sessions, cultural exploration, and community engagement, participants will gain meaningful international exposure and cross-cultural understanding. 

1. Imagine Indonesia: The Mountain Breeze 

Event Date: 30 March – 3 April 2026 
Duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights 
Venue: Onsite at BINUS @Malang Campus 

“Mountain Breeze” expresses the refreshing atmosphere of Malang, where fresh mountain air and framed by green highlands create peaceful spaces where people can connect with nature, engage with local communities, and draw inspiration for our daily life, studies, or future plans while being embraced by the serenity of nature. 

Beneath its calm and relaxed atmosphere, the city keeps pushing forward, driven by strong educational institutions, cultural traditions, and natural attractions. The harmony between its peaceful vibe and forward movement opens up more opportunities for young people to discover, connect, collaborate, and grow within a supportive and inspiring environment. 

Through this program, we invite students to get closer to Malang’s natural beauty, cultural richness, and community warmth, creating an immersive learning experience that inspires curiosity, reflection, and meaningful connections. 

Program Fee: USD 200

2. Imagine Indonesia: The Creative Brew 

Event Date: 6 – 10 April 2026 
Duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights 
Venue: Onsite at BINUS @Bandung Campus 

“Creative Brew” captures the way Bandung blends imagination and innovation into everyday life. Just like a cup of coffee crafted with care, the city’s creative scene brings people together in its cafés and creative spaces where designers, artists, entrepreneurs, and young people exchange ideas through relaxed conversations. 

The rhythm of creativity moves fast in Bandung. Fresh concepts find their way into studios and cafés, new brands step forward with inventive ideas, and bold designs hint at the city’s next big trends. Within this vibrant and lively ecosystem, cultures grow stronger, and young people find the support they need to pursue careers and ventures rooted in creativity. 

Through this program, we invite students to explore Indonesia’s creative hub and engage directly with local communities and industries for turning creative ideas into impact.

3. Imagine Indonesia: Heritage Coastline 

Event Date: 5 – 9 October 2026 
Duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights 
Venue: Onsite at BINUS @Semarang Campus 

“Heritage Coastline” represents Semarang’s unique identity as a port city rich in multicultural history. Its coastline has long been a meeting point where traders, travelers, and locals shared stories, traded goods, and exchanged ideas that shaped the city’s distinctive character. 

Today, Semarang is growing rapidly, preserving its heritage landmarks even as modern industries and creative sectors continue to expand. This interplay of the old and the new gives young people a window to see how Indonesia’s history, culture, and modern growth coexist within a vibrant urban setting. 

Through this program, we invite students to explore Semarang’s heritage landscape while gaining insight into how Indonesia’s coastal cities evolve, opening pathways for economic development and enriching cultural life.

4. Imagine Indonesia: The Fusion City 

Event Date: 16 – 20 October 2026 
Duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights 
Venue: Onsite at BINUS @Medan Campus 

“Fusion City” describes Medan’s rich tapestry of cultures, communities, and culinary traditions. Here, people regularly meet over food to talk about family life, business plans, or new ideas, savoring dishes influenced by Malay, Batak, Chinese, Indian, and many other traditions. The city’s social culture is built on diversity and warmth. 

Medan is a city that pulses with fast-moving energy. Standing as a commercial hub and cultural crossroads on Sumatera Island, the city offers a dynamic environment filled with opportunities in trade, tourism, and creative enterprises. Its diversity shapes its character and creates fertile ground for young people to innovate and collaborate. 

Through this program, we invite students to immerse themselves into Medan’s vibrant cultural mix by experiencing its diversity, bustling economic life, and rich culinary traditions that shape the city’s unique identity.
