BINUS University Reaffirms Global Excellence in Its 45th Year with QS 5-Star Recognition

Jakarta, 29 August 2026   For 45 years, BINUS University has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of society, with our vision of fostering and empowering communities through education at the core of our journey. Our continued progress is reflected in the retention of our overall 5-Star rating from the QS Stars™ Rating System, which recognizes our performance across key areas including teaching, research, student experience, international engagement, and graduate employability.

The QS Stars™ Rating System is an international evaluation framework that assesses universities against a wide range of performance indicators and global standards. Rather than comparing institutions against one another, it provides a comprehensive assessment of each university’s unique strengths and achievements.

In the QS Stars 2026 assessment, we achieved an overall score of 840 out of 1,000 points, with 5-Star ratings in Teaching, Research, Online Learning, Employability, Computer Science & Information Systems, Social Impact, Global Engagement, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The university also secured a 4-Star rating in Good Governance, reflecting our commitment to strong institutional stewardship and continuous improvement.

“Achieving a 5-Star rating from QS Stars is not only a proud recognition of our progress, but also a source of motivation for us to keep improving the quality of our education, research, innovation, global experience, and graduate preparedness. More than a recognition, this achievement reinforces our commitment to delivering relevant education and creating a positive impact for communities across Indonesia and globally,” said Rector Nelly.

This recognition reflects the impact of our ongoing efforts to prepare graduates for an evolving professional landscape while fostering a strong global perspective. In the Employability category, QS reported a graduate employment rate of 91.5% and 545 nominations through the QS Global Employer Survey 2026. Our global reach is also reflected in a diverse student community representing 66 nationalities and collaborations with partners across 76 countries and territories, creating broader opportunities for international learning, research, and collaboration.

“Behind this achievement is the unwavering dedication of our Binusian community and the support of partners and stakeholders who continue to believe in our mission. Their trust and collaboration have helped shape BINUS University into a globally connected institution. This achievement further reinforces our commitment to empowering society through education, innovation, and technology, while cultivating graduates who are ready to contribute to a better future for Indonesia and the world,” added Rector Nelly.

As we embark on the next chapter of our journey, we will further strengthen education, research, innovation, and global engagement to equip our graduates for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Grounded in our vision of fostering and empowering the society in building and serving the nation, we are committed to creating greater opportunities through education and innovation while empowering future-ready talent to drive positive change and shape a more inclusive and sustainable future.
