BINUS UNIVERSITY Expands Global Academic Presence with 8 Subjects Ranked in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026
Jakarta, 26 March– The increasing number of subjects gaining global recognition reflects the strength and diversity of BINUS University’s academic ecosystem. This is evident in the newly released QS World University Rankings (WUR) by Subject 2026, where 8 of our subjects are ranked globally, including 4 new entries, with 6 placed in the Top 400, further affirming our position among Indonesia’s leading universities with a growing global academic presence.
“As we approach our 45-year journey, this achievement feels especially meaningful. We are grateful for the recognition given through the QS WUR by Subject 2026 across our disciplines. The inclusion of new subjects in the rankings also reflects our continued progress and growing global recognition in both education and research,” said Rector Nelly.
Our commitment to providing globally relevant education and making a positive impact on society continues to translate into strong academic outcomes. In the latest rankings, 8 disciplines are globally recognized, underscoring not only the quality of our teaching but also the advancement of our research and cross-sector collaboration with global stakeholders.
Among our established disciplines, Business & Management Studies breaks into the 201–250 band, ranking first in Indonesia and reaching its highest position in five years. Computer Science & Information Systems rises to the Top 350, securing second place nationally, while Social Sciences & Management climbs to 341, ranking 4th in Indonesia. Economics & Econometrics also maintains its position in the 551–700 band, holding its position among the Top 10 nationally.
Newly ranked disciplines also show strong performance, with Art & Design and Law entering the Top 300, Accounting & Finance at 301–375, and Art & Humanities at 451–500, all securing positions within the Top 5 nationally.
