BINUS UNIVERSITY Breaks Into the Top 200 in QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026
Seoul, 5 November — BINUS University reaches a new milestone, debuting in the Top 200 of the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026, securing the 165th position and placing us among the Top 50 leading universities in Southeast Asia at rank 45.
This special announcement was made during the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025 in South Korea, where the President of BINUS Higher Education & Professional Services, Stephen Wahyudi Santoso, Rector Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., dan our colleagues proudly represented BINUS at the summit. Sharing this proud moment among distinguished university leaders and global educators made the recognition even more meaningful for our academic community.
Reflecting on this achievement, Dr. Nelly remarked that this milestone stands as a testament to the dedication of our faculty, students, and staff, as well as the strong collaboration we have built with our national and international partners.
“Our advancement in the Asia University Rankings reflects our unwavering commitment to continuous transformation and to create real impact for Indonesia and global community. It reinforces our vision to deliver a world-class education that fosters and empowers society,” she added.
If we look back, our university first entered the QS Asia University Rankings in 2016 in the #301–350 range. By 2025, we had advanced to #204, and now, in 2026, we are proud to have broken into the Top 200 for the first time.
This consistent progress over the past decade reflects our continuous efforts to enhance teaching quality and research excellence, supported by an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
One of our strongest pillars lies in global engagement, which we continue to expand through outbound and inbound exchange programs, international faculty collaborations, and growing research networks. These sustained efforts not only enrich cross-cultural learning experiences but also elevate the overall quality and reputation of BINUS University, both academically and in the eyes of employers across the region.
Lastly, this recognition reaffirms our commitment to deliver a world-class education and underscores our growing influence as one of the leading universities in Southeast Asia.
