“As one of our key partners, Hanyang University has shared a long history of collaboration with us, spanning from student exchange to our annual BINUS International Week,” stated Dr.Nelly, emphasizing the strength of this partnership lies in the alignment of our educational philosophies and shared aspirations.

At BINUS University, we implement a 3+1 learning model, which consists of three years of academic study and one year dedicated to enrichment activities such as internships, research, or study abroad/student exchange programs. Within this framework, twelve of our students are currently undertaking an exchange program at Hanyang University, where they are broadening their academic and cultural perspectives. This experience enables them to build global competencies, engage in cross-cultural collaboration, and deepen their understanding of Korea’s higher education landscape, underscoring our vision of nurturing globally minded and future-ready graduates.

The growing interest among our students in studying at Hanyang University stems not only from its strong international standing as a top 200 global institution, but also from its forward-thinking educational model, IC-PBL (Industry-Coupled Problem-Based Learning). This approach bridges theory and practice, encouraging students to analyze complex challenges and develop practical solutions in real industry settings. This learning environment perfectly reflects our mission to shape graduates who are future-ready, adaptive, and globally competitive.

Rector Dr. Nelly also emphasized that collaboration between our institutions goes beyond student exchange.

“Our collaboration is not limited to student exchange, and it also focuses on advancing research, sharing academic expertise, and developing future leaders. These young leaders will grow into innovators with strong digital skills, guided and supported by the collective vision of both our institutions,” she added.

By fostering a long-term and sustainable partnership between BINUS University and Hanyang University, we are expected to contribute positively to strengthening the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and South Korea, especially in advancing education and innovation. Over time, this collaboration is envisioned to generate more impactful initiatives and programs that create lasting benefits for the global community in the region.
