Diverse International Presence Enriches BINUS UNIVERSITY’s Learning Community

Jakarta, 12 September September is one of the most exciting times of the year as we welcome over 10,000 new students to our vibrant and growing BINUS University community, including many from more than 40 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, North, and South America—joining through exchange programs or as full-degree students.

For international students, starting a new life abroad is a mix of excitement and challenges.

“This moment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for you as a Binusian, where you will seamlessly blend into our vibrant and multicultural community and explore the richness of Indonesia’s cultural. As you settle in, I encourage you to embrace every opportunity, both inside and outside the classroom. This is your time to discover, build friendships, and grow in ways that will stay with you for a lifetime. I believe this will be a truly remarkable experience for each of you,” said Dr. Rini Setiowati, our Vice-Rector of Collaboration and Global Engagement, as she warmly welcomed our international students.

Our campuses in Greater Jakarta serve as the main hub for their academic journey. This semester, 65 exchange students are taking full advantage of the flexibility to take courses across BINUS @Kemanggisan, BINUS @Bekasi, BINUS @Alam Sutera, and BINUS @Senayan campuses. At the same time, 56 full degree-seeking students have begun their studies at BINUS @Senayan, with classes held at our JWC and FX campuses, both strategically located in the heart of Jakarta. This central location provides them not only with quality academic facilities but also with direct access to the city’s dynamic cultural, social, and professional opportunities.

This distinctive academic experience is one of the key reasons they choose BINUS University and Indonesia as their study abroad destination. By blending rigorous academic learning with rich cultural immersion, we continue to see an increasing number of international students, both exchange and full degree-seeking, every semester.

As we embark on this new academic year,  the presence of our international students has enriched our academic environment and strengthened our vision of fostering a truly global learning community. With this spirit, we are ready to empower every student to learn, lead, and create positive impact in society.
