G’day to Brent Draper, MasterChef Australia’s Winner from BINUS University
Jakarta – Thanks to Brent Draper, you get a beautiful plate of Roasted Lamb Cutlets with Hot Honey and Turmeric Yoghurt when mixing salt, fact, and a hint of acid who cooked this earlier this week (24/06) as part of Taste of Australia in our Anggrek Campus.
Led by Dr. Arif Zulkarnain, S.E., M.M, CHE, CHIA, as the Head of Program for our Hotel Management program, he gave the students some tricks directly from Brent as he demonstrated his culinary skills.
The menu might be a humble meal, but it took them some time to put it on a plate. Brent’s experience eased the process, but our students learned that it took more than determination and good skill to ensure they could cook the meal—as if it were their last day in the kitchen! His demonstrations showcased his technical expertise and his journey from passionate home cook to MasterChef champion.
As Brent and Dr. Arif have said, ambition and determination are skills that are needed by those who want to excel in the culinary industry.
“The importance of quick thinking, creativity in layering flavors, and effective time and stress management skills are crucial for success in high-pressure cooking environments,” said Brent.
