Introducing the Indonesian International Student Mobility Award Professional Program (Entrepreneur), or IISMA-E, a prestigious scholarship scheme designed to support Indonesian students pursuing entrepreneurship programs with a unique twist. At the heart of IISMA-E is a transformative boot camp experience at leading institutions worldwide.

This program offers selected awardees the opportunity to embark on a six to seven-week journey abroad, immersing themselves in a rich tapestry of academic rigor, cultural exchange, and hands-on entrepreneurial assignments. This intensive boot camp aims to sharpen their entrepreneurial acumen, foster cross-cultural understanding, and cultivate valuable skills essential for success in today’s global landscape.

As part of Kampus Merdeka, initiated by Kemdikbudristek, undergraduate students from all Indonesian higher education institutions under DIKTI can participate in the program.

AWARD COVERAGE

• Registration and tuition fees for the boot camp at the host institution (at cost, payment directly from IISMA to the host institution).
  • Students must still pay tuition fees (BP3 & SKS) at BINUS University.
• Health insurance premiums in the host country during the boot camp program (at cost).
• Round trip flight (economy class, at cost, directly arranged by IISMA).
• Settlement and living allowance.
• Emergency fund, if applicable.

REQUIREMENTS

• Enroll as an active BINUS University student pursuing an undergraduate degree and never taking semester leave(s) during the studies.
• In semester 6 (B25), during the application period.
• Must be able to take the enrichment semester for Odd Semester 2024/2025 under the Entrepreneurship track.
• Must submit a business plan must be approved and signed by the BINUS Incubator Manager.
• Must be an Indonesian citizen (WNI) residing in Indonesia and do not hold dual citizenship.
  • If the students are born from a mixed marriage, they must have a copy of Surat Keputusan (Decision Letter of Citizenship) issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights, which states that they have chosen Indonesia as their nationality.
• Be a maximum of 24 years old on 1 July 2024 (applicants born on or before 30 June 2000 are not eligible to apply).
• Have a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 3.0 (out of 4.0), proven by the latest academic transcript.
• Have adequate English proficiency* with a minimum score of IELTS –6.0, TOEFL iBT –78, Duolingo English Test –100, TOEIC Listening & Reading Test –785 to IISMA’s official institutional code of respective English test.
  • .The BUEPT/BIEPT, BeeLingua, TOEFL ITP, or other English proficiency certificates are unacceptable.
  • If the host university requires a higherEnglish proficiency and/or GPA, applicants must meet that requirement to continue their application.
  • The test results should have been announced after 15 August 2022
• Not receiving a living allowance from other funding/scholarship from the Kemendikbudristek and LPDP during the IISMA Program
• Not participating in other Kampus Merdeka programs at the same time as the IISMA Program
• Not have participated in more than one (1) Kampus Merdeka Program before the IISMA Program
• Never have violated the rules, norms, and/or laws applied in Indonesia
• Be willing to follow the rules and regulations while participating in IISMA
• Received approval from the Head of the Program/Department
• Have a recommendation letter from the BINUS Internationalization Office (formerly known as BINUS International Office)

HOW TO APPLY

• Step 1: to BINUS (13 – 15 May 2024)
  • Read 2024 BINUS X IISMA-E Guideline
  • Fill out the 2024 BINUS X IISMA-E Business Plan only and have it signed by the BINUS Incubator Manager.
  • Fill out the 2024 IISMA-E Statement Letter, have it signed by yourself and your parent/guardian, and merge it with the Family Registry (Kartu Keluarga).
  • Submit the other required documents listed on the 2024 BINUS X IISMA-E Guideline.
  • Create and upload the required documents by 15 May 2024 at 23:59 WIB to https://linktr.ee/binusstudyabroad, part 2024 IISMA-E Student Application. Incomplete applications and documents will not be considered.
• Step 2: to Kemdikbudristek (6 – 17 May 2024 at 23:59 WIB)
  • If you are granted the Recommendation Letters from us, you must apply for the awards by completing an online application here: https://iisma.kemdikbud.go.id/portal/login by 17 May 2024
