BINUS UNIVERSITY Ranks 1st in Indonesia and 6th in Southeast Asia in the Latest AppliedHE Private University Ranking: ASEAN 2024

Jakarta, 5 December 2023 – BINUS University’s ongoing display of exceptional quality reaffirms its status among the elite institutions recognized within the esteemed AppliedHE Private University Ranking: ASEAN 2024, securing a noteworthy 6th position in Southeast Asia and number 1 in Indonesia.

The ranking is measured based on six criteria:

  1. Teaching and Learning (40%): Measures student satisfaction with teaching, facilities, and the student-to-faculty ratio.
  2. Employability (20%): Measures the percentage of graduates employed or continuing their studies and the percentage of respondents monitored after graduation (alumni tracer study).
  3. Research (10%): Measures research impact, the number of publications per faculty (in the last five years), and citations per publication.
  4. Community Engagement (10%): Measures student involvement in social and environmental activities, support for students (aid or scholarships), and the amount of media exposure.
  5. Internationalization (10%): Measures the number of international students and faculty on campus.
  6. Institutional Reputation (10%): Obtained based on nominations from peer universities.
