BINUS STAR Homecoming Spring 2023: A Celebration of Global Success and Togetherness

Jakarta, 14 October 2023 – The Creative Room at BINUS @Kemanggisan’s Syahdan Campus came alive with the spirit of global achievement and camaraderie as BINUS Student Transnational Ambassadors (BINUS STAR) gathered for their Homecoming event on 14 October 2023. Opened by esteemed BINUS leaders, Vice-Rector inaugurated the session – Office of Collaboration & Global Engagement, Prof. Dr. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama, Ph.D., and Deputy Campus Director BINUS @Kemanggisan, Dr. Viany Utami Tjhin, S.Kom., M.M., CDMS.

The Homecoming provided a platform for returning STARs to share their transformative experiences during their study abroad programs. This insightful session allowed them to recount the academic, cultural, and personal growth they encountered while representing BINUS on the global stage. A lively brain challenge was also organized to infuse a sense of fun and intellectual vigor into the gathering, featuring guessing games and interactive activities. The atmosphere was enthusiastic as participants engaged in friendly competition, reinforcing the bonds forged during their time abroad.

“It (homecoming event) is more than just a reunion; it’s a celebration of the successes and experiences our STARs have accumulated while studying abroad. It’s a moment to reflect on their achievements, share their learnings, and foster a sense of community among the BINUS STARs,” commented Prof. Dr. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama, Ph.D.

The festivities continued with an awards ceremony, recognizing outstanding achievements in various categories among the BINUS STARs. This added a touch of celebration, acknowledging these global ambassadors’ hard work and dedication. The awards ceremony is a way to appreciate the remarkable contributions of the BINUS STARs. It was a moment to shine a spotlight on their achievements and foster a sense of unity within the BINUS STAR Community.

As the Homecoming event concluded, the BINUS STARs left with not only memories of their time abroad but also a renewed sense of community and pride in being part of a university that values and supports its students’ global aspirations.
