Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) is a scholarship program funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) through the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI). The program aims to mobilize thousands of undergraduate (S1) students from Indonesia to overseas universities. Successful applicants will spend one semester at a partner university to study, experience different cultures, broaden their network, and expose themselves to the global world.

As part of Kampus Merdeka, initiated by Kemdikbudristek, the opportunity to study abroad is open to undergraduate students from all Indonesian higher education institutions under DIKTI.

AWARD COVERAGE

• Registration and tuition fees at the host university are waived. Students must still pay BP3 and SKS fees at BINUS.
• Roundtrip flight (economy class, at cost).
• Health insurance premiums in the host country during the program.
• Visa application costs (using reimbursement system).
• Settlement and living allowance.
• Quarantine fees at the host country (if any).

REQUIREMENTS

1. Enroll as an active Undergraduate Indonesian Student of recognized universities in Indonesia under DIKTI during application and during the program
2. In semester 4 or 6 of the undergraduate (S1) program during the application period
   • Will be in the “3+1 Enrichment” Period during Odd Semester 2022/2023
3. Be a maximum of 23 years old on 1 July 2023 (applicants born on or before 30 June 2000 are not eligible to apply)
4. Have a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 3.0 (out of 4.0) proven by the latest academic transcript
5. Have adequate English proficiency* with a minimum score of IELTS –6.0, TOEFL iBT –78, Duolingo English Test –100 to IISMA’s official institutional code of respective English test
6. Be an Indonesian citizen (WNI) currently residing in Indonesia and do not have dual citizenship;
7. Never have taken college leave during the undergraduate study
8. Never have participated in an overseas physical mobility/exchange program (including Summer Program, Internship, Exchange, Credit Mobility, Sit-in, Dual/double degree, or other credit-bearing program conducted abroad during the undergraduate study)
9. Not receive the living allowance from the other funding/scholarship from the Kemendikburistekand LPDP (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan) during the IISMA Program
10. Not participate in other Kampus Merdeka programs at the same time as the IISMA Program
11. Not have participated in more than one (1) Kampus Merdeka Program prior to the IISMA Program
12. Never have violated the rules, norms, and/or laws applied in Indonesia
13. Be willing to follow the rules and regulations during participating in IISMA
14. Received approval from the Head of the Program/Department
15. Have a recommendation letter from BINUS International Office (BINUS IO)

Important Note:

• The BUEPT/BIEPT, TOEFL ITP, or other English proficiency certificates are unacceptable. If the host university requires a higher level of English proficiency, applicants must meet that requirement to continue their application
• If the host university requires a higher level of English proficiency and/or GPA, applicants must meet that requirement to continue their application

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: to BINUS (6 – 17/22 Feb 2023 extended to 28 Feb 2023)

1. Read the BINUS X IISMA 2023 Information Session
2. Fill out the IISMA—[BINUS] Mobility Proposal for BINUS Applicants only and have it signed by the Head/Deputy Head of the Program/Department.
3. Fill out the IISMA—[DIKTI] Consent Form for BINUS Applicants only and have it signed by yourself and our parent/guardian.
4. To request a Recommendation Letter, please fill out the form online here: Recommendation Request Form (please login with your BINUS email) by 17/22 Feb 2023 extended to 28 Feb 2023. You will need to upload the signed Learning Agreement and Consent Form to complete the request.

Step 2: to Kemdikbudristek (8 Feb – 1 Mar  2023 extended to 8 Mar 2023)

If you are granted a Recommendation Letter, you have to apply for the awards by filling out an online application here: (https://kampusmerdeka.kemdikbud.go.id/web/IISMA) by 1 Mar  2023 extended to 8 Mar 2023.
