BINUS UNIVERSITY Participates in Global Entrepreneurship Week 2021
BINUS UNIVERSITY, in collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Indonesia and @america hosted a two-day webinar series in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2021. This year’s GEW takes place on 8-14 November 2021. GEW is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth, and expand human welfare. For one week, from November 8 to 14, 2021, thousands of events and activities are organized around the world to inspire millions of people to engage in entrepreneurial activity. GEW is initiated by Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), which operates a platform of projects and programs in 180+ countries aimed at making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business.
Entrepreneurship is an essential quality for vigorous start up performance, that depends upon a vibrant work attitude. This webinar series invites students to learn how to build their own impactful business. The first webinar, titled “Creating Impactful Business” was held on 10 November 2021. The webinar featured Rebecca Hwang, Ph.D, co-founder of Rivet Ventures as the speaker, with Ayupitha Tiara Silalahi, Deputy Head of International Program, BINUS Business School as the moderator. The next webinar, held on 12 November 2021 featured Jeff Hoffman, Chairman of the Board, Global Entrepreneurship Network as the speaker. The session, titled “Developing the Best Scaleup Strategy” was moderated by Chairani Putri Pratiwi, B.Sc., M.Si., Faculty Member, BINUS Business School and BINUS Entrepreneurship Center. Both sessions attracted over 500 participants in total, with most of them being students at BINUS UNIVERSITY.
