BINUS ASO School of Engineering’s E-Portfolio Exhibition 2021

When we look at a product, the first thing we can judge is its design. A product design that is attractive and well accepted by the market is a design that has aesthetic and functional value. Therefore, behind the manufacture of products that we know today, there is always a product design engineer role in it.

Entering the industrial revolution 4.0, product design engineering is increasingly needed. The rapid development of technology has become a tool for product design engineers to compete to design new solutions that were never thought of before.

Leading innovations like this are shown to the public through Product Design Engineering: E-Portfolio Exhibition 2021, an event presented by BINUS ASO School of Engineering. Held on February 8-21, 2021, participants can see the works of BINUS ASO Product Design Engineering students closely.

A virtual exhibition presented by BINUS ASO

Despite facing the COVID-19 pandemic, educators and students in the Product Design Engineering program of BINUS ASO are not discouraged from continuing to innovate. This is the motivation for holding a virtual exhibition entitled Product Design Engineering: E-Portfolio Exhibition 2021. This virtual exhibition displays finished products and product design prototypes designed by students in the BINUS ASO Product Design Engineering program.

Not only that, but this event also invites the audience to explore the learning system at BINUS ASO School of Engineering. Through visual and audio media that support the course of the event, attendees can enjoy this virtual exhibition more freely. Product Design Engineering: E-Portfolio Exhibition 2021 is expected to be inspired by the works of great young engineers at BINUS ASO School of Engineering.

The importance of the role of product design engineering in the new era

The word “engineer” is often associated with high-tech products, such as machines, robots, and electronic devices. Even so, the works that will be displayed at Product Design Engineering: E-Portfolio Exhibition 2021 not only cover the three types of products, but also other products such as portable dishwashers, sweepers, multipurpose cleaning brackets, and ladder drawers.

Through this virtual gallery, attendees can get a closer look at the role of product design engineering. Almost all objects that we see and use on a daily basis are formed thanks to the role of product design engineering. The works that are displayed not only present new breakthroughs but can also be applied in a new era to answer the challenges that arise due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges that will arise in the future.
