BINUS UNIVERSITY provided a free computer training course for high school students from the areas surrounding its Anggrek Campus in Jakarta. Organised in cooperation with BINUS CSR Unit, Teach for Indonesia (TFI), and the Community Forum for Early Alertness (FKDM), the aim of this programme was to provide youths with the basic skills of computer operations and programming, as well as supporting students who did not have access to a computer to complete their school assignments.

The course consisted of eight, three-hour weekly sessions taught by four seasoned Informatics lecturers from BINUS UNIVERSITY. The syllabus covered both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science which included creating spreadsheets, producing documentation, and developing presentations using Microsoft Office programmes.
