4th International Symposium on Probiotics and Prebiotics, Nov. 3-4, 2016
BINUS UNIVERSITY, Faculty of Food Technology Engineering, and the Indonesian Scientific Society for Probiotics and Prebiotics are organizing the 4th International Symposium on Probiotics and Prebiotics from November 3-4, 2016. Scientists, technologists, clinical researchers and industrial experts are called to submit abstracts on Probiotics, Prebiotics and Disease Prevention.
Short Course on Embracing Business Opportunities in the ASEAN Region – Jakarta and Bali, August 2016
BINUS UNIVERSITY, in collaboration with Udayana University, has established a short course for international students focusing on Embracing Business Opportunities in the ASEAN Region. The program focuses on the cultures, demographics, politics and regulations of each member state, and how these elements influence business outcomes as the region becomes integrated into the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).The university thus recognizes Indonesia’s prominent role within the association and the many businesses and sectors that will soon need to integrate on the regional stage.
The program is set to take place over four weeks in August comprising of classroom-based lectures that cover theoretical analysis, case studies and group presentations. The courses will be delivered at the BINUS UNIVERSITY campus in Jakarta as well as the Udayana University campus in Bali, where students will engage in a variety of subjects covering human resource management in the ASEAN, intellectual property rights and the impact of the AEC on businesses in the region and the world. Students will be introduced to the Indonesian language and local customs such as traditional dances, batik workshops and martial arts. Furthermore, the program will also facilitate site visits to local companies, institutions and organizations in Jakarta as well as Bali. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of attendance and eight course credits.
