Joint Architectural Workshop between BINUS UNIVERSITY and Politecnico di Milano
BINUS UNIVERSITY in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano carried out a 6-day architecture workshop from March 1 – 6, 2015. The workshop project focused on urban development and revitalization and took Kali Besar and Sunda Kelapa Harbour as the project sites.
Around 12 students from respective institutions took part in the workshop. They were placed in groups and were challenged to propose a plan to develop the selected site.
During the workshop, the participants also had two lecture sessions from Prof. Maurizio Carones of Politecnico di Milano and Dr. Sumintardja of BINUS UNIVERSITY.
Established in 1863 by scholars and entrepreneurs, The Politecnico di Milano is one of the most reknown European universities in Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design. The institution is organized into sixteen departments of nine networked Schools with six of them involve various branches of engineering and three to architecture, urban planning and industrial design.
