BINUS Student triumphed at Penang POWIIS Junior Fencing Championship
Inca Maya Sari, student of Information Systems from Smart Class program performed a smashing debut in the POWIIS International Junior Fencing Championship at the Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS), Penang, Malaysia, October 12-13, 2013.
Inca, a proud member of WRG Fencing Club, displayed her skills and prowess to grab the Women’s foil and Women’s epee titles. To add her impressive debut, this BINUSIAN 2016 also won the Overall Team Champion award for her two Gold medals.
Other than her impressive fencing skill, Inca is an active athletes in numerous sports, namely Taekwondo, Swimming and Golf as well as skilled in playing classic guitar. She was a member of 2010 and 2011 National Fencing team for international events. This young lady is a fine example of a proud BINUSIAN.
Penang POWIIS Junior Fencing is an annual event of the said international school and organised by the Penang Amateur Fencing Association (PAFA). It contested five categories: men’s foil and epee, women’s foil and epee and the mixed sabre.
