BINUS participated in ASEAN International Mobility for Student Programme (AIMS) Review Meeting
BINUS International Office attended in the 5th Review Meeting of the ASEAN International Mobility for Student Programme (AIMS) on the 9 – 10 May 2013 at Yogyakarta. The AIMS program is a multi-lateral collaborative program to promote student exchange in the southeast asia, initiated by the government of Malaysia-Indonesia-Thailand and SEAMEO RIHED. Originally the program is open for certain disciplines such as International Business, Hospitality & Tourism, and now it is expanding into Engineering and Economics.
The meeting was reporting the overall program updates from the member countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam and welcoming the new member countries: Brunei Darussalam & the Philippines as well as discussing the AIMS expansion possibility to Japan as Japan considering to participating in the AIMS starting next year.
Consultation on the proposed credit transfer system was another agenda to discussed on the meeting. Also, BINUS as the iAward Winner in Indonesia had also shared good practice of doing the student mobility program and received good feedbacks from Higher Education Institution locally and internationally.
