Clarence Raphael – Study Abroad Experience at Taylor’s University

“Spending a semester at Taylor’s University in Malaysia changed the way I think about creativity and business. As a Digital Business student taking Creative Media, I had always associated design mainly with aesthetics. Through this experience, I began to see that design also requires an understanding of the audience, the market, and the wider goals of a business. The academic environment encouraged me to question my assumptions and think more strategically about creative work. I learned that an idea becomes more relevant when it is not only visually appealing, but also purposeful and responsive to real needs. It is about being willing to adapt, learn from people with different perspectives, and contribute confidently in a new environment.” Clarence Raphael Digital Business Student at BINUS @Semarang Taylor's University, Malaysia

Kayla Salsabila – Study Abroad Experience at Tokyo Metropolitan University

"My time at Tokyo Metropolitan University showed me that studying abroad is about much more than earning academic credits. Learning with students from Japan and other countries made every discussion richer, as we regularly shared stories and perspectives from our own cultures. Through the Introduction to Japanese Studies course, I discovered another side of learning. A tea ceremony introduced me to the spirit of Omotenashi, while lessons on Satoyama and fieldwork at Mount Takao showed me how Japanese communities maintain a thoughtful balance between nature, culture, and tourism. [gallery ids="18819,18820,18821"] Not only that, being involved in HANDs gave me practical experience in organizing events and producing social media content for an international student community. I also had the opportunity to serve as a debate competition judge. Altogether, the exchange helped me become more independent, culturally aware, and comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds." Christian Darren Williams – Study Abroad Experience at Kindai University

“Studying at Kindai University has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my university life. When I first joined BINUS University, I never imagined that I would one day study abroad in Japan, a country I had always dreamed of visiting. Having that opportunity becomes a reality still feels special, and I am deeply grateful for every moment. One of the most rewarding parts of the exchange has been meeting students from different countries. At first, adjusting to different cultures, habits, and communication styles was challenging, but those differences soon became opportunities to learn. Over time, I built meaningful friendships, and we began studying together, exploring new places, and sharing stories about our cultures.
