BINUS UNIVERSITY Holds Internationalization Seminars
From 10th-13th May 2017, BINUS UNIVERSITY held its ‘Internationalization Seminars’ which is part of the university’s annual BINUS Festival event — the festival is held twice a year across BINUS UNIVERSITY campuses that encompass seminars and workshops highlighting local and global issues. The recent event featured the theme of ‘Being a Global Citizen by Contributing in Sustainable Development Goals which aimed to raise awareness on the importance of supporting global sustainable development goals to BINUS students and lecturers.
The seminars included lectures by prominent local and international guest speakers from academia as well as various other industries who provided their valuable insights on topics related to sustainable development. The topics covered subject areas such as ‘Sustainable Cocoa Production Programme’ and ‘How Culture Impacts Success in a Global Environment’. Furthermore, the seminars are part of the university’s efforts in equipping its students to support the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity for all.
BINUS UNIVERSITY’s recent seminars showcase the university’s active approach to producing graduates that can fulfil the pressing needs for adept industry leaders in Indonesia and abroad. As such, the university will continue to organise events such as the BINUS Festival to better expose its students to the international community and so as to provide solutions in their capacity as ‘Global Citizens’.
