Learning Express (LeX) 2026

Learning Express (LeX) is an intensive two-week international program run from 28 September to 9 October 2026, designed to provide students with a unique cross-cultural and collaborative learning experience. This year, LeX will bring together 30 students from Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and 30 students from BINUS University. Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop sustainable innovation projects that empower local communities in Jakarta.

Prior to the program, all selected participants are required to attend an online Design Thinking Recap Workshop on 22 September. Through this workshop, participants will deepen their understanding of user-centered Design Thinking approaches that will prepare them to conduct fieldwork and co-create solutions with Teams will be guided by experienced facilitators from Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and BINUS University.

Important Notes:

  • Travel to and from Jakarta must be arranged and funded independently by students from the Bandung, Semarang, Malang, and Medan campuses. Please wait for official participation confirmation from BINUS University before purchasing any flight, train, or bus tickets.
  • Students from the Jakarta and Bekasi campuses who require accommodation may submit a request. If selected, please contact the Committee for further arrangements.
  • Participants who require an attendance waiver may submit a request to their respective LSC. Please note that submission does not guarantee approval.

Eligibility Requirements

  • A Binusian 2028 or 2029 (BINUS Online students are not eligible)
  • Having a minimum GPA ≥ 2.75
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Fully committed to the entire program duration
  • Having a basic understanding of Design Thinking
  • Motivated and open-minded
