BINUS UNIVERSITY Embraces Spanish Culture through Collaboration
Jakarta, 7 February – A recent visit from the delegation of the Spanish Embassy in Indonesia highlighted the importance of cultural understanding and collaboration. Led by H.E. Francisco Aguilera Aranda, Ambassador of Spain to Indonesia, Timor Leste, and ASEAN, and Diego Santiago Rivero, Deputy Head of Mission, the delegation met with BINUS University leaders, including Rector Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., President Mr. Stephen Wahyudi Santoso, and Vice-Rector of Collaboration & Global Engagement Prof. Dr. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama.
“To foster deeper cultural understanding, collaboration is key,” emphasized Dr. Nelly. “BINUS University has a long history of successful partnerships with Spain, including student exchange, guest lectures, research collaborations, and international projects.”
Further solidifying this partnership, BINUS University and the Embassy signed an agreement to promote Spanish education and culture. One exciting initiative involves inviting lecturers from Spanish universities to teach on our campus later this year. Stay tuned for updates!
The visit also allowed our students to participate in exchange programs in Spain through various funding opportunities. Providing international exposure is a core focus at BINUS University, enriching students’ academic experiences and expanding their global perspectives.
This fruitful visit sparked exciting cultural exchange opportunities and underscored the power of collaboration in building bridges between nations.
