Seoul, 17 January 2023 – BINUS University and Seoul Institute of the Arts signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral ties between Indonesia and South Korea and achieve academic and research excellence through a collaboration with The Embassy of Indonesia in Seoul.

The signing is part of a push from the Embassy to connect Higher Education institutions in both countries to promote knowledge transfer and best practices. The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Seoul, Gandi Sulistiyanto, emphasized this event as a momentum to explore boundless partnership opportunities between the two institutions.

“Bilateral relations between Indonesia and South Korea are vital. At BINUS University, we are committed to embedding internationalization elements across our programs. This is an important element for students to equip and better adapt in the industrial era 4.0 as well as shaping the mindset of the future leaders,” said Stephen Santoso as President of BINUS Higher Education.

BINUS University strongly emphasizes international collaboration to enrich students’ study experience and increase their employability. University members can also enjoy faculty exchange or special programs to improve their professional development. In addition, South Korea has been one of the destinations of choice in student exchange activities attended by more than 1,000 participants since 2010.
