BINUS iWeek 2021 – What’s Next After Covid? Limitless Learning Experience

This semester’s BINUS International Week (iWeek) took place on 4 – 7 May 2021, titled “What’s Next After Covid? Limitless Learning Experience”. At this event, participants had a chance to experience virtual learning together with distinguished academics, experts, and university representatives from more than 20 overseas higher education institutions from 12 countries participating in iWeek 2021. Each speaker from these institutions were scheduled to deliver discussions on a variety of topics. Participants were also able to interact with them to know more about the scholarship, further study, and student mobility opportunities they offer. The whole event was conducted online through iWeek’s website.  

There were three main activities in the virtual iWeek 2021. The first one was International Lecture Series, public lectures that were given by international speakers related to academic topics. The second one was Seminar & Info Session, a live session with BINUS students and alumni presenting academic or general topics as well as university information. Finally, there was an Education Exhibition, a virtual exhibition to showcase programs offered in partners’ universities using the website as the platform.  

BINUS iWeek 2021 was open to all BINUSIAN (students, alumni, lecturers, staff). There were more than 20 virtual sessions offered in 2 activity categories: International Lecture Series and Seminar & Info Session. Participants had an option to also visit the virtual booths of the participating universities. During the virtual booth visit, participants were able to download brochures/ handouts, watch video profiles, find contacts, see participating university galleries, as well as talk to university representatives.

  

Lucky participants had a chance to win door prizes in the form of e-wallet balance, and also win the grand prize: Binus Star Scholarship for International Student Mobility Program.  

BINUS Virtual International Week (iWeek)’s goals were to enrich students with international experiences and talks that are idea-focused on a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder. This event also aimed to promote student mobility programs, such as Student Exchange/Study Abroad, Double Degree, Short/Summer Programs, and available scholarship Programs. Furthermore, iWeek also aimed to educate and encourage undergraduate/graduate students and alumni of BINUS University to consider taking further study in the graduate/post-graduate programs of overseas universities. This event was also meant to familiarize partners with BINUS University and Indonesia as well as to strengthen partnership through meaningful dialogues with BINUS University academic community.
