BINUS is a proud host of QS World Class 2020.
We are excited to discuss teaching, learning, innovation, and technology from the perspective of SE Asia with the university leaders across the globe, and how the industry can work together with higher education institutions to prepare students facing the Industrial revolution 4.0.
BINUS stems from humble efforts by our founding family to bring world-class education to Indonesia. We have developed BINUS around this belief that, as an educational leader responsible to foster and empower the society in building and serving the nation, we must keep abreast with and co-create new technologies. Our current president recognizes this as well and has dedicated support to the development of technology startups that respond to the needs of the growing Indonesian middle class.
Our graduates understand the Indonesian economy well and keep offering much needed technological solutions to the market. Tokopedia, for instance, an e-commerce unicorn company, was started by our Computer Science graduate, William Tanuwijaya, in 2009. Willson Cuaca, a Co-founder and a Managing Partner at East Ventures, one of the best early-stage investors in Southeast Asia, is also a Computer Science graduate of BINUS.
Malang campus, operating as an institute of higher learning since 2016, is a part of our effort to bring modern education to the eastern part of Indonesia. Our vision for BINUS @Malang is that it will become our first Digital Technopreneurs campus in the Eastern region of Indonesia. With breathtaking landscapes
Indonesia is home to a vibrant startup scene and a strong consumer class. It is home to a growing number of progressive higher education institutions. It is also a place of breathtaking landscapes with a warm climate. Malang is famous for its average 24°C and access to Bromo Tangger Semeru National Park.
We look forward to welcoming you here for this important discussion and a memorable adventure. We are excited about the possibilities this conference will bring for our further collaborations.
