BINUS UNIVERSITY Signed MoU with Deakin University to Enhance Further Collaboration

On October 23, BINUS UNIVERSITY welcomes Prof. Trevor Day, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Science Engineering and Built Environment of Deakin University Australia, Prof. K Baskaran, Associate Dean (International), Chair in Civil Engineering, Lina Darliana Oktara, Country Manager of Deakin International and Rudy Rosadi, Business Development Manager of Deakin International. The Australian delegation were warmly greeted by Ms. Lily Manoharan, Director of BINUS Global, Freddy Purnomo, Head of School of Computer Science, Meilani, Deputy Head of Civil Engineering Department, Michael Yoseph Ricky, Head of Program – Game Application & Techology, Afan Galih Salman, Head of Program – Mobile Application & Techology, and Santy, International Program Partnership Coordinator along with a number of BINUS staff members.

The two sides talked on some potential collaboration projects, such as students exchanges, dual degree, as well as cooperative research projects involving the School of Computer Science and Civil Engineering Department.

Prof. Trevor Day, Prof. K. Baskaran and Ms. Lily Manoharan then signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities, thus marking the formal establishment of cooperation between BINUS UNIVERSITY and Deakin University. The two sides will promote and deepen their cooperation and communication through various methods, such as promoting faculty and student exchange, joint-research program, organizing lectures as well as academic conferences, among many other possibilities of collaborations.

Founded in 1974, Deakin University is an Australian Government-funded University and one of Australia’s major universities, with high-tech facilities and impressive architecture. With traditional values of excellence in teaching and research in mind, Deakin University has built an enviable reputation by successfully combining both aspects with an attitude that challenges conventional practices, producing new ways of developing and delivering courses.
