Founded in 1979, Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra is a public institute of higher education located in the central coast of Portugal in the city of Coimbra which known as the “students’ city”. It is one of the ten largest Portuguese of higher education and composed of six schools: Coimbra College of Agriculture, Coimbra College of Education, Oliveira do Hospital College of Technology and Management, Coimbra College of Health Technology, Coimbra Institute of Accounting and Administration and Coimbra Institute of Engineering which cover a wide range of field study, from agriculture, education, communication, tourism, arts, management, accounting and marketing to healthcare and engineering.
