BINUS UNIVERSITY and Teach for Indonesia invite international students from any fields of study or disciplines to “Inclusive Growth in Indonesia – Empowering the Fishermen” short program in Jakarta and Tanjung Pasir.
If you are interested in philanthropy for inclusive growth and want to experience wonderful Indonesia, this course is for you.
The two week program introduces you to Indonesian language and culture and includes one week homestay with Tanjung Pasir families. Program participants will tutor and execute workshops for the community to improve English, life, and vocational skills. Upon completion, students will better understand culture and socio-economic conditions of Indonesia and feel a part of efforts for inclusive growth in Indonesia.
The classes cover the main areas of:
- Indonesian Culture
- Indonesia Economic Growth
- Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (Indonesian Language for Foreigner)

In order to be eligible to register for the Joint International Short Program, you must fulfill the requirements given below:
- You are an undergraduate student from any fields or disciplines.
- You are proficient in English
- Passport valid for 6 months
|APPLICATION AND PAYMENT|
Applicants who wish to participate in the Short Program must apply by July 8, 2017. The selected participants will be notified within one week after the registration deadline.
Payment should be made by July 8, 2017. If minimum number of participants is not achieved, program is canceled and fee will be refunded. Payment details will follow.
The program fee is USD 620* that includes:
- All classes and project activities
- Accommodation at BINUS SQUARE Hall of Residence
- Homestay at Fishermen Village
- Partial meals
- Airport transfers
- Local transportation
*exclude airfare from-to Jakarta and personal expenses
